Letter to the Editor: A WWII POW tells his story
Chapter 78 member Bob Reed shares the story told to him by a WWII POW who had survived forced labor in a Japanese mine.
William Chickering, in his soon-to-be-released book, corrects the assumptions of many that Vietnam’s Montagnards were only pawns, revealing how an ideology of their own gave them the power to create an army and clandestine movement that kept Hanoi, Saigon, and Washington guessing.
